If you enjoy buying digital books on DNDBeyond, this generator will include monsters from the books you buy, not just the Monster Manuel like some other generators. IвЂ™ve enjoyed using it, and it has several tools that the other generators donвЂ™t have so it can possibly become the best option.

DNDBeyond has an encounter generator in Beta, so itвЂ™s not only new but possibly buggy.Donjon is one of my favorites since the site also has many of the other generators youвЂ™ll need, such as loot or map generators.Has many of the features IвЂ™m looking for and makes balanced encounters. Goblinist is one that I havenвЂ™t used often but itвЂ™s really nice.You can then role a dice or pick an encounter that you feel fits the story youвЂ™re going for. So many itвЂ™ll say 6 Skeletons is easy, and a Minotaur is hard. These generators will have you answer questions, then offer options for encounters with difficulty levels. This is good if you want to try Pathfinder or another game. Mythic Game Master has a version that is a game neutral emulator, so it doesnвЂ™t use specific Dungeons and Dragons rules. If you have a strong imagination and want something more creative than following a premade adventure, you can use the Mythic Game Master emulator to make random adventures.

Once you have more experience I highly recommend DriveThruRPG. It is fun to search for ideas but the DNDBeyond site is your best option for balanced adventures. You can also look through DriveThruRPG but this site contains fan made adventures for many types of games, not just Dungeons and Dragons.
